Counselling and psychotherapy - Barnet, North London and Hertfordshire
Chances are you, or maybe your child or your partner, have been struggling with something for a while and it’s not going away. Finding a counsellor, particularly for the first time, is a massive step and requires courage. I offer empathy and understanding, as well as my undivided attention on whatever you choose to bring and at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Life is a series of transitions based on life stages, relationships and change, all of which can bring up feelings of loss, uncertainty and anxiety. I provide a safe, non-judgemental space where feelings can be vented, talked about and thought about. Making sense of them and thinking about where they’ve come from and what triggers them can be truly liberating.
Like a knot that’s too tight to untangle, I can help loosen some of the hurt, the difficult stuff that weighs you down and work with you in gaining understanding, bringing about change and the possibilities of a more fulfilling, authentic life.
I can help with all types of mental distress including those suffering from anxiety, depression, anger, relationship difficulties and loss.
My creative and dynamic approach works with all ages including children and young adults
My experience is drawn from working for mental health charities, schools and colleges in North London and Hertfordshire and the National Childbirth Trust. I have worked extensively with new parents and have a particular interest in the loss, identity changes, attachment difficulties and postnatal depression this huge transition can trigger
