About me
Professional Qualifications I trained as a psychodynamic therapist at Manor House Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy.* I then continued my training with Place2be and qualified as a child counsellor. I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and am governed by their code of conduct and ethical framework.
Areas of Specialism I have experience of working with a wide range of clients, exploring anger, anxiety and depression. I am particularly interested in working with life's transitions including adolescence, miscarriage, childbirth, adoption, redundancy, long-term illness and menopause. In particular, I have extensive experience of working with adolescents and new parents particularly with relationship difficulties and postnatal depression.
When I'm not seeing clients privately, I am an in-house therapist for Finchley based charity, Rephael House working with adults and young people. During the pandemic I worked as a volunteer counsellor for a Covid-19 Bereavement Service as well as taking part in an NHS initiative offering emotional support to new parents on-line. I have also worked in secondary schools, including Woodhouse 6th Form College as well as being an assessor and counsellor for mental health charity Mind,
